Govind Devji Temple

Govind Devji Temple in Jaipur has an interesting story associated with it. Rescued by Maharaja Jai Singh II to prevent it from destruction at the hands of Aurangzeb, the Govind Ji idol was earlier established in Vrindavan from where it was brought to Jaipur in the 18th century. Legend has it that this idol was built by the great grand son of Shri Krishan, based on the descriptions of his grand mother.

Hawa Mahal

Rambagh Palace

The Rambagh Palace was built in the year 1835 AD for kesar Badaran the queen favorite handmaiden. It was further transformed in 1925 into a palace and was used as the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Thereafter in 1957 the Palace was converted into a plush hotel by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. The Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces took over the Palace in 1972.
